How to style basics. Curated by Muji.
This is a runway that everyone can relate to. What I would normally refer to as a lifestyle retailer more than anything else, I was certainly curious when I heard that they were doing a runway show.
Personally, I found the runway looks to adhere more to the everyday wardrobe, compared to the usual trend orientated catwalks that is normally present during fashion week.
Not that I am complaining, as someone whose uniform consists of stripes and denim, I could almost call this showcase educational in providing me with more ideas on how to style basics.
The above photos are some of my favourites from the show.
Till next time!

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Crush the biscuits using a food processor till it resembles crumbs. Stir the melted butter into the crushed biscuits and spread it over the base of a cake pan*.
Bake for 15 minutes. Then take it out to cool before pouring the cheesecake mixture.
1. Using an electric mixer, combine cream cheese, ricotta, eggs, sugar, vanilla, lemon juice and lemon rind until the mixture is smooth.
2. Mix cornflour and water together and add to cheese mixture. Stir until everything is combined.
3. Pour into cake pan (tap the sides of the pan to remove any air bubbles) and bake for 1 hour.
4. Leave the over door ajar and cool the cheesecake for 1-2 hours.
5. Refrigerate overnight.

Wearing: Country Road jacket and jeans | Glassons top | Asos shoes | Longines watch
Sometimes I feel like my outfit choices resemble that of a meal one would order at a fast food joint. Like 'jeans & tee' is my everyday uniform, you can't order a burger without getting a side of fries. And when the server asks if you would like any drinks, and there's a variety to choose from, it is the same feeling you get when you are choosing your accessories, spending more time than necessary making a decision when ultimately, you are going to go for the usual mineral water or coke, or in this case, I managed to fit all my essentials into the pockets of my jacket and left the house with just my watch, money and a set of keys.
Maybe I should do what Sheldon did in that Big Bang Theory episode (season 5 episode 4 in case you were wondering) where he uses a dice to make his decisions. Won't that make for an interesting outfit post to share...
Though for now, I am just going to stick to this jeans and tee combination, which just so happens to be the most comfortable attire to wear when you are doing lots of walking during the day, and not to mention the food baby you will no doubt pick up along the way.
And on that note, be sure to look out for the food reviews that will be coming soon to this space!
